iPhone Dev team still busy in finding Untethered way to Jailbreak iPod Touch 2G 2.2.1however they have already released unsupported and unfinished version of redsn0w, redsn0w Lite. Jailbreaking iPod Touch 2G 2.2.1 using Redsn0w Lite requires lots of patience and expert in using Mac computer.
If you are not comfortable with command line then don’t worry some has come up with unofficial version of GUI based Redsn0w for windows and makes iPod touch jailbreaking task almost automated. Cyw00d along with pheonix_1018, shortperson1026 users of iPod Touch Fan Forum has developed this Unofficial GUI based Redsn0w for Windows.
This version of Redsn0w is almost complete and found to be perfectly working (read thread on ipod Touch fans). Unofficial Redsn0w is only supported for Windows XP and Vista 32 bit version.
